Jugendgästehaus

is located between City East and City West in the middle of Berlin.

Next to Jugendgästehaus stands in the west one of the most significant modern buildings of Berlin: The Jewish Museum. Beside of the museum in the northwest joins a residential area built 1987 during the international exhibition IBA. The lodges were built to meet sophisticated demands of executives. In the middle of this area is the Berlinische Galerie, which presents modern arts from 1870 until today. In the north is located the Waldorfschule Kreuzberg and in the south residential buildings and the Federal Patent Office.

Broader environs: Amerika Gedenk Bibliothek (first public library), Federal Agency of the Social Democratic Party of Germany in Wilhelmstraße (Willy-Brandt-House), Checkpoint Charlie in Friedrichstraße, Axel-Springer-Building and the Federal Printing Office.

You can get to Kreuzberg’s famous district "SO36" via Moritzplatz within 10 walking minutes.

Gives a way for change in the city. The farm was founded in the seventies just to teach kids how to handle animals while West-Berlin was comprised by the wall. Behind of it is the Berlinische Galerie and Axel-Springer-Building.
